JH Volleyball Shows Midseason Improvement
The JH volleyball teams continued their season with matchups against St. Ed @ Leigh on Sept. 21 and the Archangels on Sept. 28, showing noticeable improvement as the season reaches its midpoint.
Against St. Ed @ Leigh, the A team earned a 2-0 victory, while the B team also won 2-0. The C team battled through a close match but fell 1-2.
The teams faced the Archangels the following week. The A team again came away with a 2-0 win, and the B team won 2-1. The C team lost 0-2.
Through these matches, the teams' season records stand at 7-2 for the A team, 6-0 for the B team and 2-3 for the C team.
The recent matches have also highlighted the players' growth throughout the season. Serving has improved, rallies have lasted longer, and the teams have been able to record more kills.
"Our players have made a big jump this week," Coach Maliha said. "Our serves are better, we are playing longer rallies, and getting more kills. It's fun to see their big energy in the middle of the season. We have a few games left and it's good to see how much they've improved since our first game."
With only a few games remaining, the teams will look to carry that momentum into the final stretch of the season.
