Cyclones Pick up Win
Saturday, September 13th tacked on a win and two losses for the Highway 91 Cyclones’ record as they competed over in Lakeview for a varsity tournament.
They started off the weekend with a couple rough defeats, losing 0-9 against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, then 1-9 against Boone Central.
Finally, the Cyclones finished the day on a highlight by beating out Adams Central with a final score of 9-7 and ending with a 1-2 record for the day.
Junior Reann Bruhn stated, “We had a long day at the softball complex on Saturday. We had a few sick people, but we battled through that and managed to get a win in our last game. Overall, we had fun and it was great to come through successfully as a team in the last game.”
This win is a highlight for a struggling Cyclone team, bringing their season record to 2-10.
