Softball Team is 4-6 After 10 Games

The Highway 91 Cyclone softball team has played a blurry of games in recent weeks, bringing their record to 4-6 so far.

On September 5, they headed to Uehling to take on the LVSS Raiders.

The JV started the night off with an excellent 14-3 win. The varsity team started slow for the first two innings, not getting any runs across, and kept the score 0-0. In the third inning they broke the ice putting 4 runs across the board. LVSS soon responded with a two-run homerun, but the Cyclones kept their lead going into the fourth inning. The Cyclones really pulled together in the last two innings and won the game 10-3.

On September 9th, the Cyclones headed to West Point to play the GACC Bluejays. The game was back and forth until the 7th inning when the Blue Jays won 4-5.

The very next 9th on September 10th, the Cyclones had Parents’ Night in Dodge where they played the South Sioux City Cardinals. The girls held a steady lead throughout the whole game and won 14-1.

Sophomore Rebecca Hastreiter stated, “We did a lot better and have improved a lot since our first game.”
