Meet Mr. Held, Leigh’s New English Teacher!

Leigh Community Schools is happy to welcome one of its newest English teachers, Mr. Haden Held.

            Mr. Held is teaching 5th and 6th grade Language Arts, 6th grade Reading, and 7th grade Writing. Mr. Held started teaching at LCS this year, but he has four years of teaching experience at Central City Public Schools prior to coming here.

            Mr. Held is no stranger to the Leigh school system. He grew up right here in Leigh, Nebraska, and graduated from Leigh High School in 2018! He then went on to Wayne State College and graduated in 2022.

            Ironically, he even took over his mom, Mrs. Michelle Held’s, old classroom since she retired last year!

            Mr. Held is also newly married to his wife, Rylee, and they reside in Leigh.

            A few hobbies Mr. Held enjoys include watching his favorite sports teams and spending time with his wife, family and friends.

            When Mr. Held was asked what he was looking forward to the most this year, he said, “getting to know all the wonderful students in the building, I have really enjoyed my time with the kids so far and I am looking forward to a great school year!”

             We are excited to have Mr. Held join Leigh Community Schools this year, and we can’t wait to see what his addition will bring!
