JH BBB Season Comes To An End
The junior high boys’ basketball team finally finished their season off a couple of weeks ago. The team had 22 kids go out this year between the A, B, and C team. They all had a successful season with highs and lows.
The A team went 7-4 on the season. The B team went 5-6. And the C team went 4-2. So overall, the program went 16-12 on the season. That’s pretty good for a junior high basketball program.
When I asked about their season, the players on the team said that they were pretty excited to keep playing basketball in the future with the team that they have right now.
Eighth-grader Ryan McMullin said, “It was really fun to watch the guys improve their skills throughout the season. We worked really hard, and it was nice to see our work payoff.” Eighth-grader Grayson Loseke said, “We had some nice wins on the season. I had a fun time with the guys on the team this year. We played really well together and it was nice for us to be able to come together as a team and beat everyone.”
After I asked the players for their recap on the season, I asked Coach Tyler Brester, who said, “It was really fun to watch the guys improve their skills throughout the season. They worked very hard and it was nice to see their work pay off.”
Overall, the teams had a great season, and we can’t wait to see the future that these teams are going to have.
