Patriots Sweep Jags

The Clarkson-Leigh Patriot Volleyball players swept the Howells-Dodge Jaguars on Tuesday, September 3rd in Clarkson in their first home match of the season. 

The JV team started out the night with a win. 

For the varsity game, the first set was 25-16 in favor of the Patriots. The second set was 25-13 and the third set was 25-16 for a Patriot sweep!

It was a balanced attack for the Patriots with many players contributing kills. Maizie Stoklasa led the team with 13 kills. Baylee Settje added 11, Izzy Hollatz added 5, and Ella Baumert added 3. 

Hollatz also set her teammates up, recording 18 set assists on the night, with Kendall Schneider contributing 16. Vylet Hollatz led the team in digs with 16. 

Head Coach Becky Schneider said, “We had a great match against Howells-Dodge on both levels!  Our JVs played really well!  It was good to see them play with a lot of team chemistry and have a lot of energy!  Varsity also performed well!  We served aggressively and attacked them as much as we could in order to keep them out of system. We utilized freeballs and controlled what we could control!  It was a good win for us!”

The Patriots’ record is now 4-0.
