JH VBall Nears the End of Its Season
The Patriot junior high girls continued their season with games on September 23rd and September 26th.
On Monday, September 23rd, the girls played Lakeview. The girls A and B teams lost after a hard battle.
8th grader Avery Kuester said, “It was a tough game, but we fought hard.”
Coach Seth Cash stated, “Our B team struggled to pass the ball early giving Lakeview an early lead in the first set, and the early deficit was too much for the B team to overcome. We regrouped and fought back for a win in set two.
“Sadly, our passing woes continued and it cost us a much needed point in the third set. A team started off strong with a first set win, but a lack of communication cost us some much-needed points in a close second set. Again, we struggled in the third set to capture any momentum early, and we dropped the third set in a hard-fought loss. The girls fought hard and we will continue to grow and improve each practice.”
The Pats then battled against Twin River on September 26th. The junior high girls B team was not able to pick up a win. The A girls did pick up a win though.
8th grader Averi Clausen said, “Both teams played well and there were lots of things we improved on, but lots more things we need to work on.”
