Patriot VB Keeps Win Streak Alive!

On September 5, the Patriot volleyball team played in a triangular against the Madison Dragons and the Stanton Mustangs. The Patriots came out on top in both of their games.

The Madison game ended in two sets with scores of 25-13 and 25-20.

The Patriots also came out on top of Mustangs with a thriller game with sets of 25-20, 14-25, and 25-15.

Vylet Hollatz, a sophomore at LHS, stated, “We struggled to pass in both the Madison and Stanton game, but we worked through that as a team to pull out the wins. During the Madison game, we couldn't find energy for the plays we were making eventually though we found a way to come out with a win. Next, we played Stanton and we knew they were going to be a very competitive team, so we needed to have energy to end the night with both wins.”

Assistant Coach Brianne Bachman stated, “The triangular against Madison and Stanton resulted in two more nice wins for the team to start the season. Although we lost the second set to Stanton it was nice to see the girls come back strong to finish with a dominating third set. We came away with a few things we want to continue to work on in practice but are happy to get two more wins. The girls are starting to get comfortable with each other on the court and we are looking forward to continuing a dominating season.”

That now leaves the Patriots record 7-0!
