Boys BB Picks Up First Win

Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7, were very eventful days for the boys’ basketball team as they played their first games of the season.

On Friday they played an away game against Humphrey-Lindsay Academy. After getting behind 7-18 by the end of the first quarter, the Patriots knew they had a tough game in front of them.  They ended up losing 30-65.

On Saturday, they bounced back when they played against Madison in Leigh, winning 58-48.

Head Coach, J Bachman stated, “It was a good opening weekend for us. We learned from our Friday night mistakes and picked up a key win Saturday. We need to keep growing through this and work hard to reach our full potential.”

Junior Kyle McMullin, who put up 30 points against Madison on Saturday night, said, “We struggled breaking the press against Humphrey, but did some good things. After a rough first half shooting against Madison, shots started falling, leading to a great win.”
