Patriot Golf Plays in Pender
On Saturday, April 26, the boys’ golf team traveled out to Pender for an invite. The Patriots took on teams from all over northeast Nebraska: Pender, Logan View, North Bend, Oakland Craig, and Lyons-Decatur.
Clarkson-Leigh brought along Josh Eisenmann, Cash Fehringer, Trevor Hoffman, Wyatt Langhorst, and Parker Sayers. Hoffman shot a 98, narrowly missing the mark for placing. Langhorst hit a 104, followed by Sayers with a 105, and Fehringer with 107. The team placed fourth overall, with Pender taking first at their home invite.
"It's nice to go out to different courses and experience what they have to offer. I look forward to competing more in the season,” stated sophomore Wyatt Langhorst.
“The team had a little bit of a struggle throughout the meet. It was good to see everyone keep battling even when their game wasn’t at their best,” said Coach Connor Blum about the day. “We just need to keep working and improving so we can be ready for districts.”
Districts will be held at Club 91 Golf Course on Monday, May 19.
