JV Girls’ Golf Finishes Season in Unconventional Way
The JV girls’ golf team finished their season on Monday, September 30th at Indian Trails in Beemer at a “modified” JV meet.
The meet consisted of JV teams from West Point-Beemer, Clarkson-Leigh, Schuyler, South Sioux City, and Tri-County. The Patriots brought two teams of five girls each.
The golfers played holes one though nine, shortening the fairways to 200 yards and capping each hole at eight strokes. Golfers were also allowed to play the ball up and move the ball out of sand traps after one attempt.
The girls found success in their final meet of the season with junior Liz Hoffman earning the first-place medal! Rosie Villeda-Guillen was fourth, and senior Keeley Campbell finished fifth.
Hoffman said, “With the modified rules, this meet was really a fun and unconventional way to finish out the JV season and see how much we’ve all grown. I’m so glad I got the chance to golf with this awesome team this year!”
