JV Girls’ Golf Hitting the Links in Humphrey
On Thursday, September 19, the Patriot girls’ junior varsity golf team headed over to play nine holes at Humphrey for a triangular. They faced off against teams from Humphrey-Lindsay and West Point-Beemer. The first Clarkson-Leigh team placed second at the meet. As for individual scores, Ella Urban tied for second place with a 51, and Halle Korth placed third with a 55. Alisyn Lich scored a 57, Liz Hoffman and Rosie Villeda-Guillen each a 60, Shaleigh McAllister and Sydney Messerlie each a 62, Keeley Campbell a 63, Hannah Martensen a 68, and Ella Higby a 70.
“We saw a lot of improvement and shaving strokes from the JV squad at the Humphrey meet,” said Coach Held. “They started to figure out how to stay out of trouble at that meet. Both teams shot their lowest team scores, and Ella shot a season low of 51 for 2nd place and Halle shot a 55 for 3rd.”
Sophomore, Halle Korth said, “I’m really proud of the girls that participated at the Humphrey meet. I think we all played to the best of our ability, and I can’t wait for the upcoming meets.”
