Hajek Earns Individual Medal at Boone Central
On Saturday September 21st, 2024, the varsity girls’ golf team competed in the Boone Central Invitational.
Clarkson-Leigh finished 7th out of 12 teams with a score of 611.
Scotus got first with a score of 491. West Holt finished second in a close one with a 492. Battle Creek ended third with a 532.
Coach Lynn Morfeld said, “It was fun to watch the live scoring throughout the day to see where our golfers were in the rankings, and we had our first invite medalist of the year - Emilie Hajek.”
Junior Emilie Hajek was 33rd out of 59 girls with a 117. Senior Brianne Kuhr got 34th with a score of 119. Emily Stender, a senior at Leigh, finished 38th with a 123. Junior Hadley Dlouhy and sophomore Halle Korth tied for 40th, each shooting a score of 126.
