Football Team Ready for Action

The Patriot football team is ready to “kick” off their new season on Friday, August 30 in Leigh against Exeter-Milligan-Friend (EMF). 

This year's team has a total of 28 players, including four seniors, nine juniors, six sophomores, and nine freshmen. 

Head Coach Jim Clarkson said, “We have a lot of new faces, but we hope to compete hard. The early schedule is tough but it will make us better one way or another.”

The seniors are Otto Crecco, Jacob Koehn, Nile Jones, and Korbin Lemburg. The Juniors are Coal Fernau, Corey Steffensmeier, Luke Eisenmann, Tucker Matthies, Wyatt Crosley, Levi Gall, Jacob Kroeger, Brett Wemhoff, and Kyle McMullin. 

The Sophomores are Wyatt Langhorst, James Moore, Jeryn Struebing, Ben Rodenburg, Blake Loseke, and Cody Jedlicka. The Freshmen this year are Cash Fehringer, Easton Brabec, Aiden Jurgensen, Cade Hoesly, Logan Stodola, Tyce Larson, Hunter Gall, Trevor Hoffman, and Michael Wemhoff. 

Junior Kyle McMullin stated, “I think this season will be very successful. We are excited to get after it and battle against some talented teams.” 

After their first game against EMF, the Patriots will take on Howells-Dodge (9/6), Pender (9/13), Twin River (9/20), Madison (9/27), Humphrey-Lindsay (10/4), Newman Grove/St. Edward (10/11), and David City (10/18).
