JV Football Wraps Up Season
by: Emily Loseke, a senior at Leigh High School
This year the JV Clarkson-Leigh football team consisted of 25 players and was coached by head coach Brian Becker and assistant coach Jeff Bachman. They played a total of 5 games and ended with a record of 2-3.
Bachman said, “It was a good season of growth for our JV team. It was fun to watch the guys work and develop. Our future is very bright for our program.”
Freshman JV player James Grotelueschen said, “As a team we improved a lot and learned more about the game of football. I myself have improved in skill and knowledge of the game. I enjoyed this year of football even though Covid threw a curve in some things during the season, and we didn't know if we would play the next week or not. This was a great year for improvement and fun.”
