JV FB Team Begins 1-0
The Clarkson-Leigh JV football team traveled to Decatur to face the Lyons-Decatur JV, where they cruised to a 32-6 victory over the Cougars in their first game of the season.
The Cougars started out hot, scoring a touchdown on their opening drive, but failing to convert on the two-point attempt. The Patriots responded quickly, making the score 8-6 with the Patriots on top. The Patriots kept their foot on the gas pedal, bringing it a 22-6 score at half.
The Patriots managed to hold the Lyons-Decatur offense to zero points to end the game, while putting up 10 more. The final score was 32-6 Clarkson-Leigh over Lyons-Decatur.
The Patriot JV team will continue to battle it out on the field on Monday nights this fall.
