Leigh FFA’s Impressive District Showing!

On Monday, December 2, the Leigh FFA Chapter had an impressive day competing at District LDEs at Cross County.  LDE stands for Leadership Development Events and winners qualify to compete at the State 

Leigh FFA members spent many hours and much time preparing their speeches, demos, posters, parliamentary procedures, and quiz bowl. They had many qualifiers for state and many other good outcomes of the day. 

Senior Brianne Kuhr placed 1^st in Extemporaneous Speaking against many competitors.  The Ag Demo team of Kuhr, Kammy Held, Carter Brabec, and Jared Olson, also finished 1^st on the day.  Sophomore Rebecca Hastreiter also finished 1^st in Cooperative Speaking. 

Kuhr stated, “I am very proud of all of our FFA members who competed at Leadership Development Events. Many members punched their tickets to State FFA, and LDEs showcased all of their hard work. I am excited to compete at state in agricultural demonstration and extemporaneous!”

Natural Resources Speaking- Luke Eisenmann (2nd)

Middle School Quiz Bowl- Wyatt Eisenmann, Trent Olson. Layton Held, Avery Kuester, Cruz Malena, Korbin Hake, Grayson Loseke, and Blair Wietfeld.
