FFA Participates in “Feed the Farmer”
On October 10 the Leigh FFA chapter participated in their annual Feed the Farmer Day. This is a day where Leigh FFA members provide local farmers with lunches in an effort to show our appreciation.
Upperclassmen and officers took part in preparing the to-go meals, bringing lunches out to trucks, and thanking our farmers for their hard work.
One group of students were giving out meals at the Co-op here in Leigh, and the other on Highway 57.
Farmers enjoyed their meal consisting of a pork sandwich, potato or macaroni salad, baked beans, chips, and a cookie.
Many members were excited to express their thanks towards our community.
“Feed the farmer was a great experience. It is always great to give back to the community whenever we are able,” said Kyle McMullin, an FFA officer.
