Patriot Home Wrestling Invite
“It was awesome to see the support and help from the communities. Boys had a good turnout.”
This is what head Patriot wrestling coach Ryan Molacek had to say about the Patriot home wrestling invite on Friday, February 7.
This was the first wrestling tournament hosted in Clarkson after being hosted in Leigh last year. The Patriots hosted wrestlers from 18 different schools with Cedar Catholic winning in team points. Unfortunately, the Patriot wrestling team was riddled with injury, leaving only three wrestlers left for the tournament.
Junior heavyweight wrestler Levi Gall finished the day with two wins and one loss leaving him in 2nd place and one win away from the 100th win of his career.
Junior Heavyweight Brett Wemhoff finished the day losing two matches.
Freshman 165 wrestler Hunter Gall finished the day .500 winning two matches and losing two matches.
Junior Brett Wemhoff said, “It was great to wrestle in front of the home crowd. It was a fun experience.”
