Wrestlers Compete at Osceola
The Patriot wrestling team traveled to Osceola on Saturday December 14th for an invite.
The teams that competed there were Central Valley, Elkhorn Valley, Shelby-Rising City, Neligh-Oakdale, Yutan, Palmer, High Plains Community, Southern, Creighton, Pleasanton, Fullerton, East Butler, Cross County/Osceola, Fillmore Central, Howells-Dodge, Nebraska Christian, Axtell, and Giltner/Harvard.
Sophomore wrestler Wyatt Langhorst said, "It was a great opportunity, and a lot of tough competition to start the season. We hope to keep improving going forward."
Central Valley won the tournament with 143 team points.
For the Patriots, Coal Fernau went 2-3, Hunter Gall went 3-2, Wyatt Langhorst went 1-2, Levi Gall went 4-1, and Brett Wemhoff went 1-2 for the day.
Head coach Ryan Molacek said, "It went about how it should have gone. Lots of good wrestling and tough matches for our boys. Our boys fought and battled hard as they always do at competitions."
