Patriot Wrestling Heads West

The Patriot wrestling team competed out west in Burwell on Friday, January 10 and Amherst on Saturday, January 11^th in very large tournaments. 

Levi Gall continued his great season bringing home 1^st place medals in the 285 class both days after going a perfect 4-0 in Burwell and 4-0 in Amherst as well. 

Other members of the team fared well too. 

Hunter Gall brought home two medals at 165, going 4-2 in Burwell and placing 4^th and 3-1 in Amherst and placing 3rd. 

Aiden Jurgensen went 0-2 both days. Wyatt Langhorst also went 0-2 both days. Junior Brett Wemhoff went 2-2 in Burwell and 1-2 at Amherst. Coal Fernau did not compete in Burwell, but went 3-2 at Amherst. 

Sophomore Wyatt Langhorst stated, “It is nice to see teams we don't normally see.” 

Assistant Coach Mr. Jorge Gomez noted, “Burwell and Amherst went pretty well. They are tough tournaments. Our guy stepped up when we needed them to and overall wrestled pretty well.”
