Senior Spotlight: Gracie Eisenmann

On September 3rd, 2005, in Columbus, NE, David and Kimberly Eisemann welcomed their first daughter and second child, Gracelyn Elizabeth Eisenmann. Gracelyn was welcomed home by her older brother, Jacob (20). She also has two younger brothers: Luke (16) and Wyatt (13).

Gracie’s grandparents are Kenny and Janet Eisenmann of Leigh, Nebraska; and Jim and Jeanne Stuart of Nebraska City, Nebraska.

Throughout the years, she participated in many school activities: FCCLA for 6 years; Volleyball, Basketball, One-Act, Journalism, and Yearbook for 4 years; Track, National Honor Society, and FFA for 3 years; and FBLA and Student Council for 1 year. Non-school activities include Youth Advisory Committee, dance at Steps at Tiffany’s for 17 years, and Luther League at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Leigh.

Gracie has earned many honors and awards in high school, including Volleyball NCPA Academic All-State twice, Basketball NCPA Academic All-State, 3rd Team All-Conference Volleyball, 2nd Team All-Conference Volleyball, State Volleyball Runner-Up, and Student of the Month (November 2022) and (October 2023).

Gracie’s proudest high school accomplishment was being runner-up at state volleyball her senior year. This is also her favorite memory, along with all her other times at state sports, including volleyball 3 times and basketball 2 times.

If Gracie won the lottery, she would pay off any debt, build her dream house, and then put the rest into savings.

If Gracie could travel anywhere, she would go to the Bahamas because she’s always wanted to go somewhere tropical outside of the U.S.

Three words that describe Gracie are hard-working, caring, and entertaining.

Her biggest pet peeve is when people chew loudly or scratch themselves loudly.

Her future plans are to attend Wayne State College for Pre-Nursing. After Wayne she plans to move onto the University of Nebraska Medical Center to earn her BSN.

In 10-15 years, you can find Gracie back in Leigh and working at a nearby hospital with a husband and hopefully children.

Three goals on Gracie’s bucket list are to go skydiving, build her dream house, and ride in a hot air balloon.

The person that Gracie admires most is her mom. “She always has pushed me to be the best I can be. She is such a hard worker and has shown me how to reach for my goals and dreams when they seem to be out of reach.”

Gracie has lots of favorites, like her favorite subject in school is Anatomy and Physiology. Her favorite movie is Anyone But You, and her favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy. Her favorite song is anything by Zach Bryan or Tate McRae. Gracie likes to watch the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Her favorite food is chips and queso, and she enjoys eating at El Mezcal.

Gracie's advice to underclassmen is, “Get involved, whether it is a sport, organization, or club. They give you endless opportunities and lifelong memories. Also have fun and enjoy your time in high school because it truly goes by so fast and you’ll wish you could go back.”

We wish Gracie the best of luck, and we hope she is successful in her future endeavors!
