Speech coach Mr. Ethan Hathaway says, “It was a great start to our season. All the kids have been working hard and it was great to bring home lots of hardware. There were a lot of bigger schools at this meet but the kids didn't let that scare them. They did great individually and as a team. They are all very supportive of each other and I'm excited to see where the rest of the season takes them!”
“It was great to start off the season with a successful meet,” senior Brianne Kuhr said. “There were many Class B and Class C teams at the meet, but Leigh was still a huge competitor. I am glad that we were able to officially start off the season with a large competition, and the underclassmen were able to watch other speeches in their categories. I was really happy to see many people make it to finals at the meet, and it shows how hard they work.”
