Dance Team Earns 1st at Competition
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn December 15th the Patriot dance team traveled to Norfolk High School for a dance competition. The dance team competed in both a hip hop and pom dance.
The girls did not get an award for their hip hop performance, but received first place for their pom routine!
Daphne Jedicka is a sophomore on the dance team, and she said, “We performed both dances the best we have performed before. We were not expecting to do so well in Pom, but I am glad we did! All the practices made up for it.”
There are 17 girls on the Patriot dance team, and they are coached by Mrs. Steph Dostal.
Coach Dostal said, “We had a great time at the Norfolk competition. In hip hop, we finished in the top 6, and in Pom we received 1st overall! This was a great experience for our team, and we learned a lot. We are now gearing up for state in February!”
